| PROFILE Professional author/illustrator and artist from Michigan, currently employed as a graphic artist with Oakland County Parks & Recreation. Research, design and produce educational exhibits and materials for their Natural Resources and Education Division and in the past has been a seasonal naturalist, trail guide and volunteer for the Parks. As a children’s author and illustrator, has written, illustrated and published two children’s books set in Michigan and is currently working on books two and three. As an artist, has produced commissioned works for many Michigan nature centers as well as individuals, exhibited in juried Michigan fine art shows, and was twice selected as a Michigan Artist-in-Residence; Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in 2007 and Porcupine Mountains State Wilderness in 2008. Use artistic skills along with outdoor knowledge to present family- oriented programs for libraries, private school groups from K through 12 to adult as well as the general public. EXPERIENCE

Their responses became part of the original donated art piece to preserve their words and feelings. The mixed media piece: “Wilderness: The Preservation of the World”, was donated to the Friends of the Porkies in 2009. ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE Sept. 9-29, 2007 Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Empire, MI Created and donated original art, “Sleeping Bear: The Legend”. Public presentation included unveiling of artwork and reading of poem that went with the painting as well as A.I.R. highlights. Trained in survival, camping and environmental education, taught outdoor education programs.
